Teacup with Flowers

This painting was a bit of a bear to paint because of all the white. It took me a couple of days, so I am for sure out of the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge. That's ok, though. I think I'm going to spend more time on my paintings. It's enjoyable to have something on the easel that I can work on in my spare moments, and it takes the pressure off trying to produce something every evening.

Thank you, Maga and Jane! This was a departure for me and I certainly struggled with the whites.

Your whites were very successful in my opinion.I think the struggle happens as you grow and know more. You obviously stuck with it until you "knew" you had it right. I enjoyed going over all your flowers. beautiful!

Thank you, Julie. I appreciate your comments. I've been trying a new technique that seems to work when I stick with it. It's funny, though...I find I slip back to my old ways. I guess that's why continuous practice is so important.
